Windsor Wedding

The weather looked set fair as I pulled into the driveway of Emily and Toby’s beautiful home set in glorious tree-lined grounds. This would be the grand stage for the happy couple’s Windsor wedding.

Getting Ready For A Windsor Wedding.

Emily and Toby live in a charming village on the edge Bracknell Forest and just 5 miles from Windsor. A marriage ceremony had been arranged for this Windsor wedding at St Mary’s Church, Winkfield. Emily and Toby’s elegant home is close by and so it was the ideal location for the bridal preparations. I made full use of the couple’s magnificent sweeping staircase to capture images of the bridal party’s first look at Emily’s dress.

St Mary’s Church Wedding Ceremony, Winkfield

Emily arrived at St Mary’s Church in a stylish open-top Beauford classic bridal car.

Dating back to 1298, it is believed a Saxon building first occupied the site of the church. The red brick tower bell tower replaced the original wooden structure in the early 17th century. The main aisle is divided by a series of octagonal oak columns running down its centre and supporting the roof. One column is carved with a crown and Tudor rose, the date 1592 and the royal initials ER indicating that this was given to the Church by Elizabeth I.

Toby and his two bestmen were obliged to wear face coverings but the twinkle in their eyes was a clear indication how much the were enjoying this special day. After the ceremony, the couple popped a bottle of champagne to enjoy as they were whisked back home to their garden for the celebrations to begin.

Garden Wedding Breakfast Ends In A Splash

Emily and Toby had thought of everything to ensure their guests would have a Windsor wedding to remember! The table arrangements were themed to show the couple’s love of books and the marquee was beautifully decorated. There was a tented area for guests’ overnight stay which also included a Bridal Suite! After hilarious speeches, cake cutting ceremony and an amazing fire dancer, the party moved up a gear. So, how do you top off a brilliant evening? With a leap into the swimming pool, fully clothed, of course!

Thank you, Emily and Toby, for inviting me into your home and to share your celebrations. Certainly a Windsor wedding I will remember for a long time.
