The Wroxeter Hotel Shrewsbury

Set in beautiful countryside between Telford and Shrewsbury, The Wroxeter Hotel, Wroxeter is one of the leading countryside venues in Shropshire and is ideal for weddings. Whatever your dream day looks like, the team at The Wroxeter should be able to advise and plan the wedding that reflects your unique relationship.

From field and farm festival weddings to tipis and marquees, they seem to have it all in 4 square miles of Shropshire!  The Wroxeter’s  grounds, with summertime wild flower meadow and outdoor ceremony sites, are a brilliant country backdrop for wedding photographers, whatever time of year.

Woodland ceremony site

Kerry and Andy chose The Wroxeter’s woodland ceremony site. This is an enclosed section of the hotel’s grounds encircled by trees and away from the hotel building. They made use of a giant Kata tipi, complete with fairy lights, furniture and bar next to the ceremony area, for the Wedding Breakfast. An extra innovative touch was a yurt, which was available for a drinks reception.

The hotel is independently run and excels in personal service. The specialist team have the skills to cater for the needs of discerning visitors as well as the expertise to advise and work with you in planning your wedding. They seem happy to tailor their facilities to meet individual requirements so you have your day, your way.

Hotel accommodation at The Wroxeter

The Wroxeter Hotel has a new accommodation wing of modern bedrooms and many with great views over Shropshire countryside. There are also four poster luxury suites in the original Georgian house.

With 17 bedrooms available, accommodating up to 40 visitors overnight, wedding guests can relax and enjoy the day without giving any thought to driving between ceremony and reception, and then home again at the end of the day.

A beautiful summertime wedding, which I enjoyed immensely, with such a  lovely couple. If you are planning your day, and an out-door wedding appeals, my blog, Top 10 Wedding Themes, may be helpful.
