The Elvetham Wedding Venue, Hartley Wintney, Hampshire

The Elvetham, Hartley Wintney, is an hotel and a magnificent, luxurious, wedding venue. Set within 35 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, The Elvetham has a well-documented history, with royal connections, and dates back to the 11^th century. The hotel is surrounded by the 4,000 acre Elvetham Heath estate and Hampshire countryside.

Located in the centre of a triangle made up of Wokingham, Basingstoke and Guildford, the village of Hartley Wintney, and The Elvetham, has easy connections by road to the M3, M4, London, and Reading. Fleet railway station is a short 3 mile journey away from The Elvetham and so central London, Reading and Southampton can all be reached within an hour or just over. This makes The Elvetham a good wedding venue location when considering travel options for your guests.

Sophie and Anthony’s summer wedding at The Elvetham, Hartley Wintney in Hampshire, was graced by beautiful sunny weather. Not only was this a relief to the happy couple and invited wedding guests, but also to the wedding photographer too! I am there to record the event, and a blue sky usually makes my job so much easier. A wedding photographer is also there to capture the unexpected. It was clear during the planning of Sophie and Anthony’s Elvetham wedding that they were a lovely, and fun-loving, couple. They had planned that their special day at The Elvetham was going to be a fun day to be remembered and that was certainly the case. Jaws dropped as one of The Elvetham’s ‘waiters’ suddenly burst into song! Within moments, friends and family were on their feet, waving napkins in the air, and dancing a wedding breakfast conga between the tables and chairs. What a hoot!!

Thank you, Sophie and Anthony, for a day I will certainly remember!
