If you are looking for a wedding venue with a blend of Victorian opulence and contemporary luxury, then there is no better place than Kilworth House Hotel. Located in North Kilworth, South Leicestershire and set within 38 acres of landscaped parkland, Jane and David had the exclusive use of this delightful property.
Bride and groom had rooms in which to prepare for their summer church ceremony and had the hotel’s Victorian orangery beautifully decorated to accommodate their wedding breakfast and evening celebrations. A magnificent fireworks display in hotel grounds entertained guests late into the evening and guests sent off the happy couple with a glittering sparklers display.
St Mary’s Catholic Church, Husbands Bosworth
St. Mary’s Church remains unaltered and unspoilt and an example of the very best of Victorian architecture . This was Jane and David’s choice for their marriage ceremony and had arranged for the entrance archway to be festooned with a beautiful floral display matching Jane’s bouquet. Their service was conducted by Canon Owen O’Neill.
St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, in the village of Husbands Bosworth, is situated in the park of Bosworth Hall. It was built in 1873 by Sir Francis Fortescue-Turville, the then owner of Bosworth Hall, from whom the present owners are descended. This charming church, with fine wall paintings, remains privately owned, very well attended, and with people travelling many miles to attend weekly services.
