The Kingscote Barn, near Tetbury.
A Christmas wedding is always a magical event to photograph and so I was looking forward to my day as I drove through the misty Oxfordshire countryside. My destination was The Kingscote Barn, a wedding venue nestled in the heart of its very own secret valley.
Enchanting stone barn
Close to the Cotswold village of Tetbury, a sweeping private driveway leads you to this enchanting 17th century stone barn. Before me lay far-reaching views over rolling countryside, still covered in early morning dew.
Kingscote Barn’s minstrel gallery
Barn ceremonies are a wedding photographers dream! The exposed stonework and magnificent beams had been festooned with twinkling fairy lights. Kingscote Barn has a minstrel’s gallery high above where the happy couple would exchange rings and this would allow us to capture some great moments during the wedding ceremony. What could be better – someone had even hung a massive bunch of mistletoe above the spot Michelle and Mike would say “I do”.
This is how the day unfolded….
